While the Kitzsteinhorn, one of the two courses at Golfclub Zell Am See-Kaprun, is slightly less challenging than its stable mate, there are still plenty of traps and watery graves waiting to punish any lapse in concentration. Once again the course offers superb entertainment around it’s myriad lakes and groomed fairways. The signature hole, the par five tenth, is guaranteed to tempt the unwary intermediate into a death or glory 2 iron or 4 wood across the lake to the peninsula green. Be warned, unless you have Tigerlike judgement discretion is definitely the better part of valour.

For the fit amongst you a thirty-six hole feast in Zell am See is recommended on the Kitzsteinhorn course and also the adjacent championship Schmittenhöhe course and there will still be plenty of time to enjoy the warm welcome in the clubhouse
